
Crisis Resources and Hotlines
If you are worried about your safety or your child's safety...
If you/your child has already done something to harm themselves, or you cannot keep yourself/your child safe at home:

Stay calm and seek emergency help.

Go to the nearest emergency room or call 911.

The Emergency Room can address urgent medical concerns and do an immediate mental health assessment to determine next steps.

If you/your child needs immediate mental health support, but they have not already done something to harm themselves:

Go to psych urgent care or call 988.
-
Psych urgent care can do a same or next day mental health assessment and provide recommendations and connection to follow-up care.

If you are a parent or guardian, take any concerns seriously. If your child is talking about suicide or is unable to stay safe: ​

Stay with your child or make sure they are not left alone.

Remove access to dangerous items: including guns, medications, and anything else your child's doctor recommends

Below, you can find more information about Psych Urgent Care and additional crisis resources and hotlines, including those available in your area.

Offers same-day in-person (6901 Sand Point Way NE in Seattle) and virtual (video) visits for children and teens in Washington state who need urgent mental health support but do not need emergency medical services. Open daily, from noon to 8 p.m.

Visits can include a crisis assessment, initial care recommendations, and referrals to follow-up care in the community.

You can schedule a visit online or by calling 206-987-2164. If you need an interpreter, call 1-866-583-1527 and ask for “Psychiatric Urgent Care scheduling.” If your child is a patient at Seattle Children’s , you can also schedule through MyChart.

Mobile crisis teams are a group of mental health workers who can help right away and connect people to mental health care. The following teams are available 24/7 and provide crisis intervention over the phone or in-person.
